It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Lucio Ribeiro appointed Seven's director of digital marketing and innovation

Lucio Ribeiro has joined the Seven Network in the newly-created role of director - digital marketing and innovation. Reporting to Seven’s chief marketing and audience officer, Melissa Hopkins, Ribeiro will be responsible for all digital marketing and innovation, including driving new avenues for Seven to connect with audiences.

Oliver Hammerton named creative director at Wellcom

Creative and integrated production agency Wellcom has appointed Oliver Hammerton creative director. Hammerton has an extensive background in film, music, fashion and advertising across the UK, US and APAC.

Clemenger BBDO adds chief growth officer and goes on a hiring spree

Clemenger BBDO has appointed its first chief growth officer, Anita Zanesco, and new managing partners, Georgie Winton and Anita Deutsch-Burley. They are the first senior hires under Dani Bassil who became CEO in January. More appointments are coming.

Icon Agency promotes Kate Griffiths to director of brand and change

Icon Agency has promoted Kate Griffiths to the newly created role of director of brand and change.  Griffiths will lead teams in crafting creativity-led behaviour change campaigns and brand projects that prioritise positive, cause-led impact.

UM's Joshua Lowcock becomes chairman of ASX-listed Adveritas

Joshua Lowcock, the global chief media officer of UM, has been appointed chairman of the ASX-listed advertising fraud specialist Adveritas. Lowcock currently serves as a non-executive director of Accent Group Limited and as non-executive director of Cashrewards Limited. He previously served as a non-executive director of Prime Media Group Limited.

Scentre's Olivia Gotch appointed QMS City of Sydney GM

Digital outdoor media company QMS has appointed Olivia Gotch general manager – City of Sydney, effective immediately. Gotch will report to QMS executive general manager Mark Fairhurst and manage the revenue and sales operations of the digital City of Sydney street furniture network. 

Mindshare's Candice Veasey appointed Havas chief people officer

Media and communications group Havas has appointed Candice Veasey chief people officer. Veasey will serve as Havas Australia and New Zealand's strategic leader for recruitment, brand, and culture. Playing a key role in  attracting and engaging talent across Havas's Australian and New Zealand Villages, including Havas Media, Host/Havas, Red Havas, Bastian Brands, Frontier and One Green Bean.

Krysia Bonkowski promoted to editor-in-chief of delicious.

Krysia Bonkowski has been appointed editor-in-chief of delicious., News Corp Australia's premium food and lifestyle brand. Bonkowski, currently editor of delicious., has been with the brand since October 2021. She will continue to report to editorial director of premium food, travel and health Kerrie McCallum.

The Pistol adds two to senior team

Emilia Chambers has been appointed head of strategy at The Pistol, while former head of development Sarafraz Johl rejoins the business as head of technology. Chambers brings more than 11 years’ digital experience in the media industry in Australia and the UK, working across a range of client verticals, including FMCG, retail and travel.

NITV appoints Taryne Laffar commissioning editor

National Indigenous Television (NITV) has appointed Taryne Laffar commissioning editor. Laffar will oversee the development and delivery of NITV’s diverse slate of commissioned content reflecting, celebrating and exploring First Nations stories, across documentaries, drama, entertainment, and children’s programming.  

Emotive adds Michael Graziano as creative director

Emotive has added Michael Graziano as creative director, brings over 15 years of expertise from a diverse range of creative, experiential, and digital agencies to the independent creative agency. Simon Joyce, CEO of Emotive, said "with such an impressive background, love of big ideas, and understanding of platforms and technology, we are excited about the impact Graz will make.”
