It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Sophie Tedmanson is the new editor of The Australian Women's Weekly

Are Media has appointed Sophie Tedmanson editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly. Reporting to Are Media’s general manager – lifestyle, Nicole Byers, Tedmanson will join The Australian Women’s Weekly in November and will be responsible for leading the editorial content of the magazine.

Saatchi's Iona Macgregor becomes whiteGREY's chief strategy officer

whiteGREY has appointed strategist Iona Macgregor chief strategy officer. She also joins the agency’s executive leadership team and will work across the agency’s national and APAC client base. Most recently chief strategy officer at Saatchi & Saatchi Australia, Macgregor brings more than two decades of creative strategy experience driving currency, growth & impact for iconic global and local brands.

Peter MacGregor named CMO of amaysim

Telecommunications company amaysim has appointed Peter MacGregor chief marketing officer. MacGregor, coming across from a significant tenure at Telstra, said amaysim's emphasis on customer-centricity, simplicity, and its distinctly playful reputation is precisely what drew him in.

JOLT appoints Stuart Moffatt GM - commercial

JOLT, the third party verified sustainable digital-out-of-home and electric vehicle charging network, has appointed Stuart Moffatt general manager - commercial. In this newly created role, Moffatt will be responsible for managing JOLT’s Australian commercial offering including government, council and private landowner tenders, originating sites and contract acquisitions.

Hatched people and culture director departs

Virginia Scully, who has served as the people and culture director for Hatched for the last six years, has announced she is leaving the media agency. After a total of eight years - including the last 12 months spent as managing partner of people, Scully announced on LinkedIn that it is with "mixed emotions" that she has decided to "change gears".

UM's Marni Crutchley switches to Seven marketing

Marni Crutchley has been named head of brand and product marketing for Seven. She was most recently as senior strategy director at UM Australia, leading the product for Optus and American Express. Her previous roles include senior positions within the advocacy, influencer and word of mouth marketing company, Contagious Agency, including managing partner, business director and senior account manager, as well as key roles at Ignite Media Brands, MTV Network and Initiative.

Sunday Gravy nabs ex-TV journalist Sean Sowerby

Sunday Gravy has nabbed Sean Sowerby from sports reporting and news presenting to heed its PR and content. After spending more than eight years at Seven, and as a news reporter at Network Ten prior to that, Sowerby has spent the last two and a half years at content marketing agency, Enthral, most recently as its PR and content account director.
