Movers & Shakers: Apparent, dentsu, Dig, Enigma, Livewire, M&C Saatchi

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

Fiona Johnston appointed chief client officer for dentsu media group
Dentsu International has today announced the appointment of Fiona Johnston as chief client officer of its media portfolio across the ANZ market. Johnston brings more than 20 years’ experience in digital media to dentsu, most recently as the global/EMEA chief growth officer for IPG Mediabrands, and formerly CEO of UM Australia.

Dig's nine new hires
Dig has a new raft of recurits due to an array of client wins. Conan Green joins the team as creative director, previously serving as the ECD at DDB South Africa working on McDonald’s, Honda and Nedbank. Joost van der Schoot joins as senior art director, Kai Faulkner and Glenn Symmons will form a new junior creative team and Simon Gray rounds out the creative hires joining as senior designer.

SBS announces senior commissioning team appointments
SBS has appointed John Godfrey head of commissioning, stepping into a newly created role to oversee the network’s unscripted and scripted commissioned content slate. Godfrey has led commissioning across SBS’ unscripted slate for the last six years, during which SBS has expanded and diversified its offering across both television and digital.

Enigma appoints Reprise's Gipi Gopinath head of performance media
Independent media agency Enigma has appointed Gipi Gopinath to head of performance media.
Gopinath’s key responsibility will be to lead Enigma’s performance media team as the agency continues to realise its ambition to invest heavily in data and tech capabilities.

Apparent promotes Jackson Long to creative director
Independent full service agency Apparent has promoted Jackson Long to creative director. Long's role with Apparent follows stints at agencies in Dallas, Boston, Seattle and Sydney. He’s led work on dozens of clients, from NRMA to Tourism New Zealand, Google, Budweiser, adidas and American Express.

Gametech Livewire appoints Australian-based chief operating officer
Australian-founded gaming marketing and gametech company Livewire has appointed its new senior executive team to lead global operations including US-based chief commercial officer Lionel Sim, Australian-based chief operating officer Sarah La Roche and chief financial officer Michelle Sheehan.

Wunderman Thompson promotes Melissa Radman to national design director
Wunderman Thompson has promoted Perth-baseed Melissa Radman to national design director. Radman, since returning from maternity leave, has donated her time to the Perth Advertising and Design Club committee, bringing events to the industry for mental health and indigenous creativity.

UM's Business Analytics Engine appoints data expert Nimesh Chaturvedi
Universal McCann’s consultancy practice Business Analytics Engine (BAE) has appointed Nimesh Chaturvedi to associate director – data and technology. Chaturvedi brings a decade of in-depth experience working with data and analytics in cloud-based platforms to BAE. 

Saatchi & Saatchi NZ appoints two new executive creative directors
Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has appointed two executive creative director, Jordan Sky and Lee Sunter. Sky internally hs been promoted after being with Saatchi & Saatchi for the past eight years as creative director. Sky has worked across many of Saatchi’s clients and was behind the multi award-winning Global Women work of last year.

M&C Saatchi AUNZ names Michael McEwan CEO
Michael McEwan has been promoted to CEO of M&C Saatchi AUNZ, a major move in the agency's restructure.
He reports to Justin Graham, CEO M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ.
