Movers & shakers: Adform, BeingIconic, Carat, Drive, MediaCom, Howatson + Company

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing, and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the moves in adland this week.

Pat Crowley becomes CEO of EssenceMediaCom
Essence's Pat Crowley will be taking on the leadership of an expanded agency, with MediaCom folded in to become EssenceMediaCom. Yaron Farizon, who has led MediaCom over the past 12 months, will take on a global role in London to build and deploy the new EssenceMediaCom proposition for global clients.

Initiative's partnerships department

Initiative has promoted Daniela Rocchi to head of partnerships Sydney and Justin Arlt to head of partnerships Melbourne. Both previously partnership directors, Rocchi and Arlt will report directly to national head of partnerships, Simon Reid.

Mike Wilson joins BeingIconic
Mike Wilson, former chair of Havas Media Group Australia and New Zealand, has been appointed a non-executive director and strategic advisor at scale-up specialist consultancy BeingIconic.

Drive appoints Carl Davies
Automotive content platform Drive has appointed former CarsGuide and Autotrader national sales director Carl Davies to the new role of media director.

Amy Jansen-Flynn becomes country manager for Adform
Global adtech Adform has appointed REA's Amy Jansen-Flyn country manager for Australia and New Zealand. Jansen-Flynn joins following over a decade at REA Group, where she drove significant growth across its programmatic supply business and audience extension product portfolio.

Merkle’s John Riccio expands ANZ role to APAC
Customer experience management company Merkle, owned by Dentsu, has promoted John Riccio to the role of president APAC. He will also continue in his current role of CEO of Merkle’s ANZ region that he was appointed to in February. Before joining Merkle, Riccio most recently served as experience consulting partner, APAC, for EY. 

New gig for former Walkley chief Louisa Graham
The former head of the The Walkley Foundation for Journalism, Louisa Graham, has been appointed CEO at the Australian Scholarships Foundation. She replaces Samantha Sayers, now the head of the Origin Energy Foundation. Graham was replaced at the Walkleys by journalist and editor Shona Martyn. 

David Dalgarno at Carat Melbourne
David Dalgarno has been appointed group strategy director at Carat Melbourne, joining a national strategy team of 13. He joins after a two years as strategic planning director at independent creative agency Mustard.

Sophie Beard and Joash Tham join Howatson + Company
Sophie Beard and Joash Tham have joined Howatson+Company as creative directors. Beard was an associate creative director at the CHEP Network and Tham recently advocated for small businesses with an Axis grand-prix award winning film. 

Liana Rossi joins The Ogilvy Network
The Ogilvy Network ANZ has announced the appointment of Liana Rossi as head of culture and influence. For the last five years, Rossi has been working at the forefront of Australia’s largest privately owned museum Mona – the Museum of Old and New Art.
