Movers & Shakers: Accenture Song, AKQA, SBS, Clemenger

It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out the some of the biggest moves this week.

Ricky Chanana lands at PubMatic

Ricky Chanana has joined PubMatic as director of advertiser solutions for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). He will be responsible for leading PubMatic's advertiser solutions business across the region, working closely with key agency and brand partners.

TAG promotes Zoe Goodhardt

Zoe Goodhardt, who joined full-service digital agency TAG in 2019, has been named a partner. She will focus on expanding the agency’s presence across the east coast of Australia and continue building momentum in the United States.

Bronwyn van der Merwe takes over from Mark Green at Accenture Song

Bronwyn van der Merwe has been appointed Accenture Song lead for Australia and New Zealand, replacing Mark Green who has moved to New York. She rejoined the company in 2023 after a stint as VP of Design at Culture Amp. 

Clemenger promotes four

Ant Phillips is appointed ECD from GCD, creative team Riana McKenzie and Zoe Perrin have been promoted to senior creative roles, and Ben Bryan goes from junior to mid- weight art director.

Channel Factory appoints Gabby Corcoran sales director

Global technology and data platform Channel Factory has appointed Gabby Corcoran sales director for independent new business. She joins with over a decade of experience and will now support the company’ to deliver tailored solutions to the indie market.

Nakul Legha becomes SBS head of scripted

Nakul Legha has been appointed head of scripted at SBS. He will oversee the network’s flagship commissioned scripted series, short form content through the growing slate of digital originals and industry initiatives.

Taz Papoulias leaves Murmur Group

The head of media investment for marketing agency Murmur Group, Taz Papoulias, has left the company. He joined in December 2022 after serving as the head of media investment and strategy for marketing agency True Sydney.

AKQA CEO resigns 

WPP has announced AKQA founder Ajaz Ahmed has resigned as CEO after 30 years. In the interim, AKQA Group will be led by the existing leadership team at AKQA and Grey, with WPP Chief Technology Officer Stephan Pretorius overseeing the business. 

Wade James and Karen Holmes join Australian Traffic Network

Traffic report provider the Australian Traffic Network (ATN) has appointed Karen Holmes as national sales director and Wade James as group sales director, Victoria and South Australia. They will work media agencies and direct advertising partners to leverage ATN's audiences.
