Seven's My Kitchen Rules has powered Seven to a strong week eight, winning prime time metro audience shares across all key demos and total people.

Seven secured 40.6% of total people to Nine's 36.4% and Ten's 23%. In 25-54s, Seven had a 37.2% share to Nine's 36.9%, in 16-39s it was 37.9% to 36%, while in grocery buyers the gap closed to 36.6% to 36%, with Ten picking up a 27.4% share.

Although My Kitchen Rules has drawn lower TV audiences for much of this season compared to recent years, partly due to stronger competition from Nine's Married At First Sight, last week the cooking format had the four largest metro audiences for entertainment, between 1.1million to 1.36 million.

Nine's Married At First Sight, which only ran on Monday and Tuesday, picked up strong audiences shy of 1.1 million, but competed well with MKR across key demos (see chart below).

Ten continues to dominate Thursday night when both MKR and Married At First Sight do not feature.
