The Mitsubishi media account, said to be worth $50 million, is up for pitch.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited’s general manager marketing & corporate affairs, Sam Wight, confirmed the account is out for tender.
“As part of Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited’s corporate governance protocols, we are required to go out to tender periodically on our supplier contracts," he said in a written statement.
"We delayed the tender for our Australian media buying due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have recently resumed the process as a closed tender.”
The long-time incumbent Wavemaker is defending the account.
Last year it promoted Phil Mumford to Adelaide managing director.
The agency, has long-standing relationships with Adelaide clients including Mitsubishi Motors, Government of South Australia, Bridgestone, San Remo, UniSA.
