Grocery delivery startup MILKRUN has made its brand, creative and marketing team redundant.
Matt Knapp, MILKRUN's head of creative, said on LinkedIn: "Unfortunately, myself and everyone on the brand, creative and marketing teams were impacted by the layoffs at MILKRUN."
Among the redundancies was Simon Friedlander, creative director/copywriter, Bernard Benny, art director/designer, Isabelle Cassidy, social/brand/PR, Nik Kacevski, director/videographer/editor, Annabelle Gillroy, producer/PM and Zoe Lamond, brand marketing.
Knapp said: "Building the MILKRUN brand from scratch and pumping out some memorable creative was a great experience. But the team I assembled is what I’ll always be most proud of.
"If you’d like any more info on any of these legends, for either an agency or in-house role, don’t hesitate to reach out."
The local grocery delivery startup, formed in September 2021, is reportedly cutting staff numbers by 20% to meet economic conditions.
The business raised an initial $11 million from a range of investors including Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar.
In January 2022, the startup raised another $75 million in a round led by US investment giant Tiger Global Management.
