MediaCom Melbourne hires tech guru

MediaCom Melbourne has appointed MediaCom UK associate director Anny Havercroft to the newly created role of group director, innovation & technology.

Havercroft will be responsible for the use of technology across MediaCom Melbourne's client portfolio.

She is one of the founding members of MediaCom's branded content arm in London, Beyond Advertising. Prior to joining MediaCom, Havercroft worked at London-based media agencies ZenithOptimedia and Acumen.

Havercroft's experience includes clients such as Gillette, Nikon, Royal Dutch Shell and Universal Pictures.

MediaCom Melbourne managing director Phil Phelan said: "Anny is a passionate digital evangelist and brings MediaCom and our clients significant experience in developing new ways of working in emerging digital disciplines such as social media strategy and monitoring, search and content."

Havercroft said: "The agency has been pivotal in helping iconic brands navigate the digital world. I'm also excited to be working with Nic Hodges, MediaCom's head of innovation and technology, his technical leadership and passion ensures the division continues to be at the forefront of digital communications in Australia."
