Media shares pump after Trump dump

Shares in Australian media companies rebounded after US president Donald Trump paused tariffs for some countries for 90 days.

On Wall Street overnight the SP500 was up 9.5%, its biggest gain since 2008 and the Dow Jones index added almost 8%.

The ASX was up 6% in early trade, with media stocks ahead of the surge. 

News Corp was more than 11% higher at $50.70 and local media player Nine Entertainment added more than 6% to $1.397.

Outdoor media specialist oOh! was more than 7% higher at $1.46

Enero, the owner of creative agency BMF and PR agency Hotwire, was up 6% to $0.615.

Media group Seven West Media was almost 1.5% higher at $0.137.
