Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has appointed Jaclyn Currie as executive director, retail.
Currie joins the agency from McCann New York, where she was most recently a member of the executive team and SVP executive account director.
During her six years at McCann New York, Currie has led a number of the agency’s key accounts, including Ulta Beauty, Beam Suntory’s Hornitos Tequila, Staples and L’Oreal Paris.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group CEO Jim Gall says that Currie was an extremely impressive and experienced leader who would drive a capability and cultural agenda across not only our retail business, but across the entire agency.
“Her extensive experience brings together the power of brand building with retail transformation to deliver omni-channel performance marketing in a retail landscape that is undergoing accelerated change,” Gall says.
Jaclyn will join Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s executive leadership team, with a key focus on leading the agency’s key retail accounts and continuing to grow its retail practice and capabilities.
“It’s been an incredible six years at McCann New York, leading integrated teams at scale across multiple marketing disciplines. Working globally with the best in the business has been inspiring and insightful," Currie says.
“I’m looking forward to returning home to join the leadership team at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne. It's a wonderful opportunity to lead the transformation of Myer’s customer engagement and build Clemenger’s retail practice excellence.”
Prior to her time in New York, Currie worked at McCann in Australia for more than 15 years.
She is the latest expat to return home and join Clemenger BBDO. Charlotte Stevens also recently returned to Australia from the UK to join the agency as group business director, leading the Myer account.
