MasterChef has taken out the top spot in all key demographics overnight, drawing in an audience of 845,000, beating out The Voice and House Rules.
The reality cooking show wasted no time jumping into the top spot, despite a poor premiere performance on Monday night.
The show continued its search for the top 24 Australian cooks overnight, as the judges handed out the final six aprons.
However, the fight for the top spot was neck and neck overnight between Ten and Nine, as The Voice came in second by only 3000 viewers, drawing an audience of 842,000.
Seven's House Rules saw its audience grow slightly by 14,000 viewers, to 621,000. The show's premiere on Monday night was marred by its poor ratings, with a significantly lower audience tuning in compared to the year prior (986,190 total individuals), with the total number of viewers reaching just over 600,000, a 38.4% drop off.
Despite the win for MasterChef, the overnight audience share remained with Nine at 29.8%, as the news helped capture the wider audience, while Seven came in second, also aided by its news broadcast, taking an overnight share of 26.7%.
Tonight, MasterChef and House Rules will go up against each other in the battle of reality shows, while Nine will air The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon in the primetime slots.
