Mark Barrett, the co-founder of creative agency Yakkazoo, is leaving the business.
The managing director told AdNews he couldn't yet reveal where he was moving but said he was pursing his passion for arts and culture.
"I promised two years but stayed for four," Barrett said.
His last day is June 7.
Barrett founded the agency in 2017 after he left the Imagination Group.
The agency was then sold in 2019 to the Venetian Media Group, which was started by former Ambient Advertising founder Mark Fishwick and his son Michael.
Yakkazoo was merged with media planning and buying agency Frontier Media to form an integrated, full-service advertising group.
Ambient Advertising was the subject of an investigation in the NSW Supreme Court following its collapse in 2013.
In the Federal Court last month, Mark Fishwick was accused of asset stripping an advertising agency, the failed Ambient Rail, in legal action by the liquidator, Brad Tonks, a partner at insolvency specialists PKF.
The case was settled out of court and the allegations remain untested.
