M&C Saatchi Sydney group creative director Sharon Edmonston has departed the agency, AdNews can reveal.
Edmonston joined M&C Saatchi in 2015 as creative director and was promoted to GCD in February 2023. Her next move is unknown.
She was appointed AWARD School's 2024 joint NSW and national school head alongside M&C Saatchi's joint national executive creative director Scott Dettrick.
She was also the co-chair of M&C’s Employee Led Women’s Network.
An M&C Saatchi spokesperson said the necessary yet difficult decision had been made to reshape select roles as the group embraced the "optimum" creative structure for its clients’ needs and evolving capabilities.
“We are sad to part ways with colleagues that have played significant roles in delivering exceptional campaigns for our valued clients; for which we would like to say a heartfelt thank you,” said the spokesperson.
“Small changes to our creative structure are required to channel our big ambition and purposefully continue M&C Saatchi Group on its trajectory of success.”
M&C Saatchi last month reorganised its creative team. AdNews was told four creative directors were on their way out of the agency and that a group of mid weight creatives would be stepping up.
The agency hired Steve Coll in November last year as group chief creative officer AUNZ, replacing Cam Blackley who departed after almost six years.
