M&C Saatchi has appointed Adrianne Nixon, founder of the Leaders and Legends programme, as its Optus business lead.
Nixon, whose background is in agency roles, took up the post last month and is understood to be leading the account on a contract basis. She s the third person to run the account in two years.
Nixon has contract stints in senior business lead roles at agencies including Sibling as MD, JWT, Ogilvy and Lawrence Creative.
Leaders and Legends is a leadership and development programme for creative agency and marketing executives. Its aim is to facilitate better working relationships between agency and client partners, to deliver better results.
M&C's former Optus lead Melissa Hopkins left in September last year to take on a client side post with Optus as director of marketing communications.
The agency had hired the former Vodafone marketer over from the UK to lead the account after the previous business lead Chiquita King jumped ship to lead rival telco Telstra at DDB in the midst of the Optus creative pitch two years ago.
18 months ago Optus created a roster of six creative agencies, including M&C.
