Luxury Escapes has re-launched its aspirational glossy magazine Dream by Luxury Escapes in response to a global surge in travel.
Dream by Luxury Escapes will focus on the latest travel trends and provide inspiration, information and guidance to those dreaming of their next luxury escape.
As well as travel news, trends and extensive travel guides, Dream by Luxury Escapes will include revamped content including Wayfinder - first-person, experiential travel stories; Twin Towns - comparing the tourist merits of two similar places on opposite sides of the globe and One Night In… - the ultimate nocturnal guide to some of the world’s most popular cities.
Managing editor Paul Chai joins Luxury Escapes, having served as a travel writer and editor for over twenty years.
A former editor of Tigerair’s inflight magazine, Tiger Tales, and regular contributor to Nine’s Traveller pages, Chai said he's excited about returning to the helm of a travel magazine and believes Dream by Luxury Escapes is uniquely positioned in the market.
“Dream by Luxury Escapes gets to tap into this inside information to bring Australian travellers the newest hotel openings, the on-trend destinations and the latest luxury experiences – all in collaboration with the best travel writers in Australia and beyond,” says Chai.
Adam Schwab, co-founder and CEO of Luxury Escapes, said there is huge pent-up demand for travel both in Australia and abroad.
“A recent survey of 4,000 Luxury Escapes customers told us that 9 in 10 Australians plan to travel either domestically or internationally in 2023 so it’s an incredibly exciting time for the sector,” he said.
Luxury Escapes’ customers report that travel ranks first on the discretionary spend list in 2023, with more than half (58%) of survey respondents saying that cost-of-living pressures have not impacted their travel plans. Two thirds of respondents (60%) said they planned on spending more on travel in 2023 than they did pre-pandemic with the majority spending more than AUD$10,000 per international holiday.
