Nine has taken out the top primetime spot for Sunday night, with the TV Week Logie Awards drawing in 866,000 metro viewers overnight.
The annual awards night for the television industry was up on last year's lowest audience of 851,000 metro viewers, as Hard Quiz host and The Weekly regular Tom Gleeson took home the coveted Gold Logie.
Gleeson had been campaigning hard for the top prize, after taking credit for last year's Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer success, going so far as to fake his departure from Hard Quiz.
The ABC host caused a few stirs throughout his winning speech, criticising the awards themselves, while also piling on jokes around the validity of winning the Gold Logie.
Following murmurs and shocked reactions after a joke regarding the "respect the award deserves", Gleeson remarked, "it's alright you'll all survive".
Continuing to explain that he found the whole thing a joke, Gleeson added that "he loved jokes" and that while the award had done so many good things for the industry, we all need to "lighten the F**k up".
ABC dominated the awards with 11 wins, while Ten secured two in the reality categories for MasterChef and Survivor, Nine nabbed one, while Seven was left empty-handed at the end of the night.
Ten also scooped another four awards for shows including Gogglebox, Have You Been Paying Attention? and The Project. Nine's only Logie win came through Deborah Mailman for her performance in Bite Club, as well as ABC series Mystery Road.
Overall, the Logies drew in 1.18m national viewers, with the awards show drawing in a further 317,000 regional viewers.
Elsewhere in primetime, Seven's House Rules came second in the ratings race, with 720,000 metro viewers tuning in, while Ten's MasterChef saw only 532,000 viewers.
In the overnight main channel battle, Nine emerged on top for the night with a 28.4% share, while Seven came in second with 18.7%. Ten dropped to fourth behind the ABC, failing to get above double digits, with a 9.5% share.
