Online electronics retailer Kogan has beaten digital media players Ten and Nine to be deemed the most mobile ready Australian brand, according to analysis by mobile marketing and technology agency Ansible.

Kogan came out ahead of estate agents McGrath Property and General Pants Co in Australia, while Facebook, Amazon and 7-Eleven topped the list globally.

The analysis studied more than 240,000 data points to assess 2,000 brands in 15 major markets, looking at a brand's discoverability, mobile optimisation, utility and usability, navigation and content and its ability to drive desired actions on mobile platform.

“The MDEX is the first study in the world to benchmark a brand's mobile performance and will provide clients with the insights and roadmap they need to power their mobile strategy,” Ansible Australia CEO Scott Player says.

“In our increasingly mobile-first world, it is critical to engage consumers with a frictionless and dynamic mobile customer experience. The MDEX will serve as the cornerstone or our client advisory services and strategic offering.”
