The advertising industry came out in force to support the 12th annual UnLtd Cup indoor soccer tournament in Sydney, with Kantar emerging victorious with a 1-0 win over the Taboola team.
The event brought together 300 soccer players across the industry, making it the biggest UnLtd Cup yet.
The annual event raises funds for KidsXpress, a children’s mental health charity that delivers trauma-informed Expressive Therapy to transform the lives of children impacted by adversity.
Chris Freel, CEO of UnLtd, said UnLtd Cup is one of the highlights of the year.
"It’s fantastic to see hundreds of people across the industry rally their teams to kick goals for good," he said.
"The event just keeps getting better each year and most importantly, continues to raise significant funds for the critical work that KidsXpress do helping children overcome serious trauma. Big thanks to everyone who joined us, even those who kicked our team out of the finals!”
Christopher Zavitsanos from Kantar said it was truly inspiring to witness the compassion, creativity and teamwork on display throughout the entire day, both on and off the court.
“A big thank you to UnLtd, KidsXpress and all the other sponsors involved in organising such an amazing and unique event," he said.
"Knowing that we as an industry are united to help cultivate an improvement to the emotional wellbeing of trauma-affected children gives me a sense of hope, that I hope many of the impacted children will be able to experience in their lives.
"On behalf of everyone at Kantar, thank you for having us and we look forward to competing again next year!”
The event was sponsored by Nexxen and supported by Paramount with competing teams from: ARN, Blis, Cartology, Dentsu, IPG, JCDecaux, Kantar, Meta, Mindshare, MiQ, Nexxen, Nine, Nova, OMD, Paramount, PHD, Quantcast, Samba TV, Seven, Taboola, UnLtd, Val Morgan, Yahoo and Zenith.
