Jonas Jaanimagi and Arvind Hickman to chair debates at AdNews Live! Tackling Transparency

By AdNews | 20 June 2017

With just one week left before the half-day AdNews Live! Tackling Transparency forum takes place in Sydney, Jonas Jaanimagi and Arvind Hickman have signed on as debate chairs.

AdNews Live: Tackling Transparency is not a standard conference event. Instead, the day will host two debates: Great Transparency Debate #1 that will tackle everything relating to the digital supply chain, and Great Transparency Debate #2, where the agency-client relationship will be scrutinised head-on.

All participants have been asked to pre-submit workable solutions to the transparency crisis. Those solutions are now in, and primed ready for debate on the day. Attendees will be asked to vote yes or no to those they believe are feasible.

Great Transparency Debate #1 will be chaired by Jonas Jaanimagi, who bring 18 years of adtech and digital operations expertise to the role. Jaanimagi is now senior adtech consultant for the IAB, and has played an impartial role in helping to evaluate the transparency solutions which will be debated on the day.

Jonas Jaanimagi says, “Collaboration for the industry moving forwards will be critical. Public debates involving a representative senior group with the intent to seek alignment and workable solutions for everyone as outcomes should be applauded.”

AdNews journalist Arvind Hickman has written fluently and extensively about the issues facing agencies and clients, and has built a solid reputation as an independent expert. He will lead the Great Transparency Debate #2. He assures attendees that, “No stones will be left unturned, and no questions shied away from.”

The day will open with a keynote address from NAB CMO Andrew Knott, who is set to shed fresh light on the way his organisation tackles transparency and accounts for its sizeable digital spend.
