JCDecaux and ViacomCBS have both reopened their Sydney offices following a coronavirus scare.
JCDecaux has reopened its office after news that a staff member had come into close contact with someone who had tested positive to coronavirus.
The employee tested negative to coronavirus.
The employee worked in JCDecaux’s York Street office Monday to Wednesday last week before self-isolating.
As a precautionary measure, the outdoor media company sent its 200 staff home on Friday.
"The employee has self-isolated, is showing no symptoms and is awaiting the results of the test for the virus," a JCDecaux spokesperson said on Friday.
"As a precautionary measure, JCDecaux’s York Street office will be closed until the results of the test come back.
"The business is still operating, with staff working remotely."
ViacomCBS has also reopened its Yurong Street offices after the employee who had potential exposure to coronavirus tested negative over the weekend.
JCDecaux and ViacomCBS join several businesses including OMD Sydney and Foxtel Media who have shutdown their offices due to coronavirus scares. Testing has come back as negative at both OMD and Foxtel Media.
Omnicom has postponed global travel to or from China, Japan, Hong Kong, Iran, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, or Northern Italy.
Dentsu in Japan also shut its office after an employee tested positive to the coronavirus.
