James Yaffa has been appointed publisher of AdNews and Yaffa Media’s photography portfolio following the departure of former publisher Jeremy Light.
Light, who had been with AdNews for 37 years, retired from the role last week, although he will remain editor of newly launched Drone magazine.

Yaffa, who had been group sales director for the titles, will now head up AdNews as well as photography titles including Capture and Australian Photography, Drone, and the recently launched content marketing division Yaffa Custom Content.
Australian Photography managing editor James Ostinga and Capture editor Mark Gafen will now report into Yaffa, as will AdNews editor Rosie Baker.
“I am excited to be driving the brand forward and we have lots of exciting plans afoot,” Yaffa said.
“It's an honour to take over from Jeremy who has done a great job and I am looking forward to helping take these popular and growing titles to the next level."
