Marketing, communications and printing group IVE has hired Sean Smith, the former head of sales at Isentia, as CEO Data-Driven Communications.
Smith will be responsible for bringing together the Groups data-driven businesses, and managing 400 staff across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Singapore and Hong Kong.
He has 18 years of experience in media intelligence, including Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Australia and New Zealand for media monitoring company Isentia.
"Sean brings a unique mix of skills to IVE. Spanning 18 years of experience in media intelligence, he understands how to bring together technology, people and data to get the best results," says IVE Group CEO Matt Aitken.
"Sean’s an engaging business leader who’s comfortable leading large teams across multiple markets. He’s a great fit for us.
"Our continued expansion in Data-Driven Communications is an extremely important part of our overarching strategy. Appointing Sean to this newly created role further strengthens our expertise and market leading position in this space."
In August IVE posted a 4.1% lift in full year revenue to $724.2 million despite "soft" trading conditions. Statutory net profit after tax for the 12 months to June was up 21.7% to $31.3 million.
The company then decided to drop the brands Kalido, Blue Star, Pareto, IVEO, from November and operate under the IVE umbrella.
