Italian confectionery giant Ferrero Group has awarded its local business to dentsu media agency iProspect, after a global competitive review, AdNews confirms.
Before the review, dentsu held the account in Germany, Japan, South Korea and Mexico, and Publicis' remit includes Ferrero Italy, China and the UK.
Details of the account in other markets is currently unknown.
MSix, a joint venture between WPP’s GroupM and independent agency network The&Partnership, is the Australian incumbent which chose to not re-pitch.
The Ferrero account includes 35 brands including Kinder, Nutella, Ferrero Rocher and Tic Tac. In 2019 Campaign reported the account to be worth between $400 million and $950 million globally and $15 million in Australia.
GroupM and dentsu declined to comment.
