IPG Mediabrands has raided OMD and MEC for a pair of client directors, with Julie Schougaard and Joe Perkins heading to Initiative.
Schougaard will join Initiative as a client director from OMD, where she was the account manager for Telstra.
She worked on developing Telstra's partnerships across its brand, sponsorship, and loyalty portfolios.
Previous to OMD she was brand manager of strategic partnerships and brand platforms at one of Denmark's major telecommunications companies.
Perkins will join the agency as a digital client director. He has more than eight years of experience in the industry working at MediaCom, The Sound Campaign and most recently at MEC, where he has been leading digital planning for clients including Alliance, Singapore Airlines and Tiger Airlines.
“Both Joe and Julie bring great experience and digital skills to the agency,” Initiative Australia's CEO, Lee Leggett, said.
“We are excited about the contribution they will make and look forward to them starting here in Sydney.”
Perkins will start on 23 February while Schougaard will start next month.
