The industry gathered to raise awareness and funds for disadvantaged Australians at the UnLtd Big Dream held in Sydney last night.

The inaugural event, which was attended by more than 500 people dressed in their “dreamiest” frocks, raised more than $370,000 through donations and a live auction.

UnLtd generated a total $10.5 million from the industry in the 2018 financial year, an increase of 21% from the year prior.

The night also showcased the positive impact the industry has generated over the year through working with young Australians who suffer from homelessness, mental illness and trauma.

To recognise the organisation who did the most exceptional work in this space, UnLtd awarded its first Hall of Good, which went to Ten.

Ten CEO Paul Anderson told the crowd it was an honour to receive the award.

“We are humbled and proud to accept this important recognition. The 'Ten Gives' program is now in its fifth year and is a pivotal part of the Ten culture,” Anderson said.

“UnLtd has been instrumental in setting us up for success and guiding us through how to best use our skills and resources to create a positive impact in our society. It’s been very special for us to be working so closely with UnLtd in making a difference for those who need it most.”

UnLtd CEO Chris Freel said Ten goes above and beyond its day job to give back to the community.

“While there are many that are worthy of this recognition, there is one organisation that stands out. Network 10, through its 10 Gives program, has fully embraced the ethos of UnLtd and put their Social Impact Program at the heart of their culture,” Freel said.

“They are fully committed to driving social impact and have volunteered time, raised awareness, generated funds, provided resources and are now looking at providing jobs to allow young people at risk to chase their dreams.”

Ten has generated more than $6.2 million of value for 15 charity partners over the last four years.
