Kathleen Beddoes, an advertising industry figure, has died after a long battle with cancer.
She was a former head of NGEN at the Media Federation of Australia and a senior marketing executive at Adshel.
More recently she was a recruiter at Fulcrum.
She was described by her friends and colleagues as vibrant, a rare gem with a gorgeous smile that would light up a room.
Jane King: “For many of us working in the advertising, marketing and media industry would have had the absolute pleasure of working with or knowing Kathleen Beddoes.
“Sadly Kathleen lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday. She loved our industry and loved a celebration.”
Nicole McInnes: “Beautiful Kathleen, I’ll always remember her calm and her warmth, she seemed to understand everyone around her and was a comfort to them in her care. She was wise beyond her years and she has left us, who were lucky enough to know her, feeling like life now is that little less bright.“

“Kathleen didn’t wish to have a traditional funeral, so we will hold a private service for her on Saturday at 10am with immediate family only. We encourage you release flowers into the ocean on Saturday if you wish to commemorate this moment.
"We will however be organising a vibrant celebration and welcome everyone that loved her to join us to honour the incredible human that she was. This will be held in Sydney, however many family and friends in Fiji will also be gathering in Nadi - both will be held on Mon 5th Sept in the early afternoon. Details will be shared shortly.
