Ikon Communications is thought to be considering re-establishing its Perth office, just months after retreating from Western Australia.
The move is thought to be a knock on from Ikon holding on to the $60 million Commonwealth Bank media account.
Ikon also handles the media account for the Perth-based CommBank subsidiary BankWest.
It’s understood that a return to Perth was stipulated to service the Western Australia-based client as part of Ikon's retaining the main bank's media business.
Ikon gave no comment on whether it would, or wouldn’t, reopen its doors in Perth, but BankWest suggested it was a consideration and didn't rule it out.
“Following Ikon's successful win in the recent pitch, we are, as a matter of course, reviewing how to best meet current and future requirements,” a BankWest spokesperson said.
Yesterday it emerged that CommBank's media manager, Jen Davidson, has decided to walk from the bank just a matter of weeks after Ikon's win.
