If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life – what would it be?
That’s the question each guest will be asked in a new foodie podcast, DISH! from Tegan Higginbotham and Paul Verhoeven.
DISH! Will serve up a weekly dose of stories, gossip and culinary secrets with a list of guests including Bachelorette star Georgia Love, award-winning reporter, Osman Faruqi, Australian drag performer, Maxi Shield and American actress Yvette Nicole Brown.
Tegan Higginbotham is a writer, comedian and actress, best known for her work on television shows including The Project, Whovians, Whose Line is it Anyway? and Have You Been Paying Attention?
When Tegan isn't busy writing scripts or failing miserably at learning French, she likes to bake. So far, her finest bakes include a glorious sponge cake she made in the shape of a large "3" for her nephew's birthday (he was 4), and a towering pavlova she baked for a friend who rudely turned out to be vegan.
Her favourite food is pasta and, despite what her mum told her, she still hates brussels sprouts.
The podcast launches this week. Here's the teaser:
Paul F. Verhoeven is an author and broadcaster. He s an avid cook, and his gnocchi is so good it once made Tegan weep with joy (a bit).
His first book, Loose Units, was released by Penguin Publishing, and the sequel, Electric Blue, is out now. Loose Units has been optioned to become a TV show, and also spawned the critically acclaimed spinoff Loose Units: The Podcast, which Paul hosts across from his ex-cop dad, John.
Paul is the host of Steam Punks on the ABC, and cut his teeth as a presenter every week on Triple J Breakfast. His favourite food is ramen, and his least favourite food is pizza with pineapple on it.
