Holler chief executive Mike Hill is to relinquish the role after four years and become executive creative director.
Hill was previously creative director for Holler and will not be replaced. His duties will be absorbed by Caitlin Millar-Jack, who was appointed managing director in February.
Holler has also named Claus Stangl, senior creative at Tribal DDB Melbourne, as creative lead. Stangl has worked at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, and in the UK at Dare Digital, Geronimo, Clark McKay, Walpole and as a freelancer.
Both the executive creative director and creative lead positions are newly created.
When asked if the move was a step back, Hill told AdNews, "If anything it's a step up. Holler leads with its creative work and strives to build itself to international standards and that's on my shoulders.
"It's [creative work] what I'm best at, it's what I've always done and it's [the appointment] allowed me to concentrate on building Holler's creative prowess."
Hill said of Stangl's appointment: "Claus Stangl's move to Holler demonstrates that we are continuing to attract the best people on the industry. It's a busy and exciting time at Holler with new business wins such as Bonds and Dove and company growth. Claus' experience will really add to our teams' creative and strategic experience."
