Holiday Holograms bring Jack Daniel's fans together

First there were holographic Pokemon cards, next there was holographic Tupac and now, Jack Daniel’s is using holograms to reunite friends and family who haven’t seen each other for a very long time.

Jack Daniel’s has been bringing people together for a whiskey at Christmas for 148 years and this year the brand is adding a contemporary twist to the tradition. A few handpicked fans have been chosen to take part in a holographic experience with the help of Arnold Furnace.

Distant friends and family were beamed into a Sydney bar for a chat and a drink, reuniting loved ones who have been apart for years. Three sets of Jack Daniel’s fans were reunited by hologram, a brother and sister living in Sydney and Vancouver respectively, parents from Melbourne whose son lives in Oslo and a couple of best friends who live in Broome and Berlin. Each of the fans are excited about seeing their holographic loved ones but even more excited with what comes next.

Jack Daniel’s has partnered with Musion to create the holographic experience and the events were all recorded on video.

Tim Ryder, brand manager for Jack Daniel’s family of brands said: “Our entire 2014 Christmas campaign has enabled us to bring something special to Christmas this year. Whether it be our in-store presence at over 1,500 locations Australia wide, our Christmas website or this amazing video, the opportunity to bring friends and family together is important to us. For Jack Daniel’s, it’s not what’s under the tree, but who’s around it that matters.”
