The finalists for the 2018 Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES) awards have been revealed.
The Australian Creative Excellence Showcase, run by cinema network Val Morgan in conjunction with AdNews, celebrates Australian creativity. The ads must have appeared in Australian Cinemas, on TV or online between December 2016 – April 2018.
The Monkeys and BMF had the most number of finalists entries, while other agencies including CHE Proximity, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Finch all made the list.
“We are proud to be hosting the ACES once again and supporting our local creative industry. The talent that is showcased in this year’s entries really raises the bar for advertising film," Val Morgan Group CEO Daniel Hill added.
I am look forward to seeing the finalists on the big screen at the awards ceremony."
The judging panel included chairperson Carmela Soares (ECD at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne), alongside Derek Green (ECD at Ogilvy), Simon Lee (ECD at The Hallway), Grant Rutherford (creative director at The Monkeys), Therese Kallie (director of communications and marketing services at Nestle), Sarah Pike (VP marketing and communications), and Pippa Chambers (editor at AdNews).
