Australian online tradie marketplace hipages has pitched its creative account, AdNews can reveal.

The pitching process has just closed and the account is now under review.

The creative business was held by VCCP from 2016 to 2021, before the agency closed its Sydney office in December 2022.

PR agency We Are Different secured the PR account for hipages in 2022, to manage creative campaigns and media relations.

AdNews understands that it's indie agencies that have pitched for the company, including Howatson+Co, Thinkerbell and Bullfrog, among others.

The latest work for hipages saw the launch of a campaign to help Australian tradies have a more productive day on the tools.

Launched in partnership with pie company Harry’s Cafe de Wheels, the campaign featured a ‘Tradie Pie’ which was nutritionally balanced and made specially for tradies, to help them refuel and tackle their workload with hipages.

The campaign was developed by We Are Different and rolled out across earned, owned, social and retail channels.

In 2021, hipages acquired New Zealand-based competitor Builderscrack for $11.8 million in cash and equity.

hipages has not made any comment.
