HERO Australia's Ben Coulson departs

Ben Coulson, chief creative officer at HERO, is leaving after more than three years at the agency. He joined HERO in June 2020.

HERO was founded that year by Ben Lilley - as a new independent, integrating creative, media and technology.

Coulson took to LinkedIn to announce his departure.

“I have punched my card at HERO after a thrilling 3.2 years,” he said.

He thanked Lilley and the team for one of the best experiences he’s had in this business, he said.

“3.2 years ago, BL had the (maybe crazy) idea to reboot McCann as an Indi. I was straight on the phone asking if I could help,” said Coulson.

“HERO launched, and a whirlwind of ‘build it on the run’ energy was set loose. People, skills, services, cities and some really great work flowed.

"So I’m off to do it again. Maybe another Startup, maybe a network reno. Just as long as it’s as much fun as this was!"
