Independent agency HERO has appointed Maya Mausli to the new Sydney role of strategy director.

The appointment comes after a series of high-profile new business wins including Toyota, Topo Chico, Maybelline New York, eBay and v2food.

Mausli has previously worked across a combination of both client and agency roles and has been awarded for her work across some of the world’s biggest brands including Samsung, Amazon, H&M, Ferrari, Afterpay and Disney.

“I’m thrilled to be joining HERO," says Mausli..

"The agency puts creativity (in its many forms) at the heart of everything it does, together with an amazing team and a fantastic client roster.

"The role is every strategist’s dream – nuanced and engaging with the opportunity to solve a number of complex client business challenges and, after watching amazing work developed by HERO from afar for quite some time, I couldn’t think of a better agency to be part of.”

James Greet, HERO’s COO: "We are excited to bring on fresh, diverse talent that is integrated in their approach and thinking. This will help us continue to build on HERO’s national proposition of Borderless creativity.”

HERO has also added Lucy Karsai and Alister Hill to its national creative department and Mitch Hatton to the client service team.

Karsai is an art director, designer and B-grade horror film fanatic who was a Snapchat Young Lions Finalist in 2021 and finished second in AWARD School NSW in 2020.
