Hamish Fitzsimmons has been appointed director of strategic advisory and public affairs at Icon Agency, tasked with driving a growing government and stakeholder relations practice.
Fitzsimmons, formerly the head of corporate affairs with the Australian Energy Council, has also served as senior manager of government affairs at NAB and held senior roles in government and stakeholder relations for BUPA.
His energy expertise and strong connections across government will boost Icon’s services to major energy clients and businesses focusing on sustainability. With a strong background in issues management, he will also work with Icon’s Reputation division, assisting with crisis management and media training.
