Ever wondered if your junk was really worth a fortune? Gumtree's latest experiential campaign brings 'The Gumtree Roadshow' to the east coast of Australia, convincing locals to value their belongings and- hopefully- sell them online.
Launched on the Gumtree Facebook page, the roadshow will stop at four locations as it travels down the coast, bringing with it the “Aussie Pickers” from Foxtel's A&E program, Lucas Callaghan and Adam McDonald.
Gumtree's Facebook community were also called to vote for the roadshow's official truck and trailer wrap, and to follow the event live from the road, by reading its online blog.
The campaign is led by Edelman, partnering on experiential with The Projects, media with PHD and styling by Paige Noelle.
Sara McConkey, head of marketing, Gumtree Australia said: “The Gumtree Roadshow is an offline representation of the website and shows Aussies the breadth of goods and services available. Everything within the market stall, from the furniture, signage and entertainment, truck and juice bar, was exclusively sourced from Gumtree.com.au.”
The event follows the appointment of DDB Group Sydney as Gumtree's creative agency at the beginning of the year.
The news marked the first time Gumtree appointed a full service agency in Australia, previously working with local production houses.
