GPY&R Brisbane has launched a creative internship program, aimed at fostering creative talent in the northern state.
The program, called “generator” is a three to six month paid internship, open to recent graduates of the Queensland Award school.
“The program is about generating world-class ideas as well as generating world-class creative talent here in Brisbane,” GPY&R Brisbane creative directors Brendan Greaney and Andrew Thompson said.
The first round of students offered the program will be those participating in the upcoming 2015 Award School which commences in April. At the end of the course, GPY&R Brisbane will select one graduate to take part in the program.
Communications Council Queensland education and member services manager Hanns Berges said: “We're thrilled that GPY&R are pre-committing to taking on Award School graduates. Award school recognises the cream of the upcoming creative crop, so any program that supports talented young creative individuals entering the industry is fully supported by the Comms Council.”
