Google is shrinking its advertising sales team.
The giant digital platform confirmed that “a few hundred roles globally are being eliminated”.
The news was first reported by Business Insider.
Google last week said it was cutting hundreds of jobs across multiple business units including Voice Assistant, Pixel, Nest and Fitbit.
Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman are leaving the company.
The layoffs are part of an industry wide wave as technology companies get rid of staff hired during the pandemic.
Online retailer Amazon last week was reported cutting hundreds of jobs from its content streaming and studio operations.
