Block-mentum continues to build in anticipation of Sunday's auction finale while Big Brother got a boost overnight, but Beauty and the Geek's Las Vegas sojourn didn't go down as well as hoped, down 30% year on year.

Meanwhile, Big Brother made an appearance in the top ten for Nine, grabbing 739,000 viewers.

Elsewhere, there was a 13% drop off between the first and second episodes of Beauty and the Geek, which were aired by Channel 7 back-to-back.

The first episode pulled in 612,000 while the follow-up saw 80,000 switch off with the second episode posting 532,000.

It was also a 30% drop for the season launch year on year.
