Channel Seven's decision to keep Beauty and the Geek Australia off screens last week seems to have paid dividends, with it pulling in an increased audience on an otherwise quiet night on the tube.
It managed to increase its audience from 612,000 viewers to 753,000 after Seven elected to show a double-episode of Dancing with the Stars last week.
With Home and Away the most watched non-news program for the night at 853,000 viewers, Seven managed to win the night.
Elsewhere King's Cross ER was Nine's highest-rating non-news show for the night, pulling a total of 840,000 metro viewers.
Meanwhile Upper Middle Bogan continues to be a solid performer for the ABC, beating out both Big Brother and Madam Secretary in its 8.30pm timeslot and also managing to increase from 530,000 last week to 589,000 this week.
Seven won the night, Nine managed to take out the highest-rating news programs for the night and the top rating shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
The Seven network took home the audience crown for the night with a 30.5% share, edging out the Nine network with a 29.1% share.
Meanwhile Network Ten managed to beat the ABC, 17.8% to 16.8%.
