Apple is pulling on the heart strings this Christmas, with the tech giant urging people to include others during the festive season.

The company rolled out its Christmas ad overnight, which features unlikely star Frankenstein, who Apple have nicknamed Frankie for short.

The spot opens with Frankie recording a tune on his iPhone from a music box in front of an open fire. At first Frankie appears to be a normal old man, who is enjoying a cup of tea on a cold night.

However as the ad goes on and Frankie prepares to go into the village, it becomes clear who he is. The ad reaches its climax when he nervously prepares to sing for the awaiting villagers.

The ad has already scored positive mentions across social media, with one user saying: “Apple's new Christmas TV ad brought tears to my eyes. We need to all come together and support one another.”

With another pointing to the similarities between this spot and the work created by John Lewis.
