The Foxtel Group has announced multi-year rights extensions with the cricket boards of South Africa, England and India.
The long-term deals will see all competitions and all Australian men’s and women’s Test, One Day International (ODI) and T20 tours played in South Africa, England (except The Ashes) and India, exclusively available for Australian cricket fans on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
The move comes after Amazon’s Prime Video closed a four-year deal for exclusive live broadcast rights in Australia for International Cricket Council (ICC) cricket earlier this week. The deal, ending Nine and Foxtel's 15 years broadcasting ICC matches, starts in January with rights in Australia for 448 live games from 2024 to 2027.
On the free-to-air front, Seven’s digital rights to cricket start in October 2024, with Test matches, Women’s Internationals, BBL and WBBL running on 7plus for the first time. Seven’s summer of cricket kicked off last month with the women’s T20 international series, a three-match ODI series and the start of the WBBL.
Foxtel Group executive director, commercial – sport, Rebecca McCloy, said Foxtel have been proud partners of Cricket South Africa, the English and Wales Cricket Board and the BCCI for more than a decade.

The Fox Cricket line-up boasts a total of 1131 tests, 2525 ODI’s and 389 T20 internationals - a total of 4,045 international matches in all formats. Over the last 12 months, 53 million hours of cricket was streamed across Foxtel Group, almost two thirds of which were streamed on Kayo Sports.
