Foxtel has re-organised following the exit of senior executives, AdNews can confirm.

Last year the streaming and cable business split its technology team into operational units to enable the build of Hubbl. Now the business is bringing its technology back to one team.

The new business units are now aggregation (Foxtel and Hubbl) and streaming and advertising (Kayo, BINGE and Foxtel Media).

These two business units have specific dedicated management but like the rest of the company rely on shared services including legal, finance, technology, HR, and communications.

Julian Ogrin is now chief executive officer, streaming and advertising.

The Hubbl team will now report to Hilary Perchard who has been appointed as chief executive officer, Foxtel retail and Hubbl.

Perchard's responsibilities also extend to non-sport content acquisitions and group strategy.

This follows the exits of two executives.

Head of Hubbl, Les Wigan, quietly excited last month, just six months after the launch of the new product.

And Foxtel Group's chief commercial and content officer and BINGE managing director Amanda Laing resigned earlier this year and officially left the business last week.

Laing is one of many rumoured to be a replacement for Nine Entertainment CEO, as Mike Sneesby steps down effective September 30.

Wigan has taken up an advisory role at Venu, Fox Corp’s new sports streaming joint venture with Disney’s ESPN and Warner Bros Discovery in the US.

Foxtel has also appointed Paul Meller as chief technology officer for the Group.

Meller, currently based in New York will relocate back to Sydney, brings more than 20 years of global experience most recently as global head of engineering at EY.

"As GCTO, Paul will re-unify our technology teams and leverage our scale, simplify our processes, and build products and experiences that our customers love," an internal email said.

Industry insiders say Hubbl sales have fallen short of weekly targets.

The product completed its launch partner roadmap this month with Paramount+ and Optus Sport recently joining a lineup of 18 global and local apps.

Foxtel reported a drop in subscriber growth in the March quarter.

News Corp is currently considering an offer for the pay television and streaming business Foxtel.
