Foxcatcher has launched into the Sydney market with Yun Yip appointed general manager.
Yip has 18 years’ experience in leadership positions in data, technology, and media across the Asia Pacific. Yip previously worked as MediaMath vice president and country manager for Australia and New Zealand. She was most recently at intelligence solutions platform HYP, where she was managing director for the APAC region.
In her new role at Foxcatcher, which is part of the RyanCap group, Yip is responsible for new business development, client relationship management, and leading the growth and partnerships team.
"Yun is a great mentor and a leading mind in adtech and we're thrilled to bring her depth of knowledge and insight to our team and clients,” says Foxcatcher managing director David Gaskill.
“Our investment in experience across marketing and asset management is increasingly differentiating our approach to the way brands organise and leverage their first party data and deliver growth and customer connection.”
Gaskill, a former hedge-fund trader, has invested in the proprietary platform WorldView which uses algorithmic hedge-fund trading technology to deliver programmatic performance. Gaskill saw a gap in the market, where most advertising is traded on the same platforms, with access to the same inventory, using the same algorithms, and struggling to deliver meaningful results.
In its first 12 months, Foxcatcher is delivering audience management and programmatic marketing services to 51 new clients through the application of WorldView.
Gaskill and Yip open the doors to Foxcatcher Sydney with a plan to scale quickly with a growing local team and client portfolio.
The business' launch into Sydney is part of RyanCap’s strategy to expand its presence and specialist data capability into the Sydney market, increasing the network's footprint along the eastern coast of Australia.
"Many businesses - marketers, agencies, publishers - are hungry for a solution that significantly improves their business outcomes, whilst simplifying the over complicated landscape of data and technology,” Yip says.
“Foxcatcher’s team and its proprietary technology WorldView do just that. We have seen demonstrable improvements to marketing effectiveness for Foxcatcher’s Melbourne partners. With the launch of Foxcatcher Sydney, I am now excited to introduce our WorldView capabilities to the Sydney market. I’m also very much looking forward to collaborating with the leading Australia data and tech team.”
