The MFA have selected five finalists in the NGEN category and two finalists in the MFA 5+ category for their annual awards.

Carat and MediaCom have put in a great showing, receiving two finalists nods for the NGEN award. Mindshare has one finalist team, with Media Thursdays founder Raymond Ly up for an award.

The MFA Awards charity partner UnLtd nominated The Pyjama Foundation as the charity for 2016.

The Pyjama Foundation was founded with the aim of making a positive impact on the lives of our community’s most vulnerable children. Entrants were asked to respond to a brief to create a bespoke fundraising approach that will raise funds to fund the Love of Learning program and train volunteers.

The MFA 5+ Award launched in 2015 and has been designed to reflect the purpose of the MFA 5+ program; to inspire, motivate and challenge the industry’s 5+ community, with a particular focus on developing business skills.

Judging was completed in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with more than 150 senior media industry representatives taking part. Judging for the NGEN and MFA 5+ categories will be finalised in the coming weeks.

MFA Awards chairman Greg Graham says: "Once again the judging panels were blown away with the quality of entries received in both categories. The ideas presented were inspiring, realistic and provided great value for the clients. With the talent showcased, we as an industry are well placed for the future.”
