Fairfax Media's real estate arm Domain has appointed Fairfax's Life Media boss to take on a new role within the business.
Melina Cruickshank, who was previously group director of Life Media, was named group director, content and audiences for Domain.
In her previous role Cruickshank was responsible for several audience verticals that drove new revenue streams to the publisher including Daily Life, Traveller, Essential Baby and Good Food.
Domain CEO, Antony Catalano, made the announcement through an internal memo to staff and in the note he said: “Today we are announcing a number of important changes at Domain that are aimed at boosting the effectiveness of our client communications and improving customer engagement with our valuable content.
“We are creating a new functional area called Content & Audiences. This is an important step as we adapt to changes in the way we acquire and engage audiences by delivering valuable content through channels including search and social media as well as our own compelling suite of assets. This function will manage our editorial and third party content creation, consumer marketing and market commentary.”
Cruickshank previously worked at Domain, spending three years as product manager prior to moving to Australian Publishing Media. Cruickshank will be a part of the executive leadership team and will report directly to Catalano.
