Trimantium GrowthOps has appointed Andrew Baxter a non-executive director on the GrowthOps board of directors.

Baxter brings more than 25 years' experience in the marketing and communications industry to the business, including large multi-agency businesses.

He sits on a number of boards including as chair of Australian Pork, chair of Tjapukai, chair of Commtract, non-executive director of Foresters Financial, non-executive director of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the board of the National Basketball League.

He is also a senior advisor to BGH Capital, the adjunct professor of marketing at the University of Sydney and has been a senior adviser to KPMG's Customer Brand and Marketing Advisory business.

Prior to moving to an advisory and board portfolio career in mid-2018, he was previously the CEO of Publicis Communications and Ogilvy Australia.

He is also a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Monash University.

GrowthOps non-executive chairman Scott Tanner says Baxter brings "deep domain knowledge" across creative, production and digital marketing services with a "remarkable" track record for success.

"Andrew is highly regarded by his former clients, peers and the teams he led throughout an impressive career in professional services and his extensive board experience," Tanner says.

"I am confident he will make a valuable contribution to the company as we continue to strive to ensure it reaches its full potential, and we empower our people and clients to reach theirs."

Baxter says he joins the business following its two years of "terrific" leadership and talent.

"These fundamentals remain strong and combined with the renewed leadership of Scott Tanner and CEO Clint Cooper, I believe the company is on the right path to succeed in delivering the kind of offering clients are looking for now and into the future," Baxter says.

"While marketers and the C-suite continue to work closely with their agency partners around core areas as trust and creativity, they're also seeking guidance around personalised customer experience, data, AI, voice, digital media and marketing technology as they navigate the future - all of which provide promising tailwinds for GrowthOps.

"I'm very pleased to be joining the board to have the opportunity to help develop and drive the company's strategy, ensuring it continues to reflect the needs of clients and provides a great place to work for people."

Trimantium GrowthOps formed in late 2017 and listed on the ASX in early 2018.

GrowthOps CEO Jason Polsen stepped down from his role at the start of the year after just three months. He was appointed CEO following a major shake-up of its executive board and leadership team last year.

GrowthOps rolled out up to 60 redundancies across its business in the second half of last year with the chief technology officer and chief culture officer among those to depart.

The redundancies followed a restructure of the company's board which saw GrowthOps founder and executive director, Phillip Kingston transition to a non-executive director, the addition of six new board members and the retirement of three others.
