Kate Silver, ex-Leo Burnett Australia (Melbourne) GM, has joined newly launched consultancy Neighbourhood Strategy.
Silver spent eight years at Publicis and was replaced by Julia Sheehan.
Neighbourhood Strategy was founded in January by former Clemenger BBDO chief strategy officer Jacqueline Witts, the firm specialises in helping marketers and agencies solve brand problems through strategic thinking.
“We call ourselves ‘Neighbourhood’ because we believe a good neighbour is the right kind of relationship you want for someone who works on defining your brand," Witts said.
"We know enough to open you to new ideas, but we never lose the clarity an expert on the outside brings."
Silver said she's pumped to work at the new business.
“Jacs and I have a similar perspective on the value of great strategy to fuel brands and creativity, and I think we have a pretty exceptional and unique offering to assist brands and agencies," Silver said.
Retailer Harris Scarfe is the latest brand to partner with the consultancy and is currently working on an extensive brand strategy project.
Head of marketing Laurelle Esse is enthusiastic over the new client win.
“Nowhere else would we find the depth of brand experience and discipline offered by Jacs and the team to help us redefine the Harris Scarfe brand," Esse said.
Silver and Witts are joined by ex The Lab Research and strategy director Christine O’Keefe, a behavioural science and consumer expert with over 18 years experience, O’Keefe rounds out the complement of disciplines on offer from Neighbourhood Strategy.
