OMD Sydney has appointed ex-Ikon Communications client services director Daniel Clark as its business director leading the Tourism Australia and helloworld accounts.
Clark has 14 years of industry experience across Australia and UK, where he has worked for Euro RSCG, MPG London and then Starcom MediaVest, where he led the AAPT and Bankwest client accounts.
In 2009 Clark moved to Ikon Communications where he was client services director on Bankwest before transitioning to the Vodafone account. In October 2012 Dan joined ING Direct to run the Marketing Finance and Media department for the bank.
Clark said: “I have had a great time working on client side across an incredible piece of business at ING Direct. However, I am very much looking forward to working in agency land again, and to do that with OMD and on such an important client is a fantastic opportunity.”
Clark will be based in Sydney, reporting to OMD Sydney MD Aimee Buchanan, and he begins his new role on 2 February.
Buchanan said: “We are very excited to have secured a standout talent like Daniel to lead these two key OMD clients. He has a fantastic reputation in market and will be a great asset to the OMD team.”
